Dear all,

It is a common question how to resize pictures to post at this board, for example.

There are many different solutions out there from using downloaded picture processing softwares, to use on-line resize services.

One third option for you who use Firefox or Chrome browsers is to look into an add-on called Pixlr. It is very useful and can do a lot of things, and it is free. You can either add it to your browser or use some of the functions on-line.
On of the functions it that you can grab a photo on the screen and the enlarge it pretty much as much as you like to study details.
Resizing pictures to our optimum format 800x800 pixels is also quite easy.

Most welcome to have a look and suggest other solutions. Here is one.

Here are a few screen captures from this useful and free plug-in. Maybe it is just me who have arrived last at the party and everybody else knows already ... :-)

Crop to capture the essential part

When you are done with the cropping and resizing, save the file on your PC.

Push the slider until the file size is max 125 KB.

Max screen size for photos is 1000 x 1000 pixels. When saving, set the largest of height or width to 1000.
