Asbolite

An impure cobalt ore, used by Chinese potters. Yields a plesant quenched blue which are approached by modern potters by adding red clay, ferric manganese, etc to the pure oxide. Have been quoted as containig 2-20% cobalt oxide (CoO) with manganese oxide (MnO2), ferric oxide (Fe2O3), etc.
