Gothenburg (II)

Built at the Old Shipyard in Gothenburg. There is a mention by Kellberg that the second ship of the Swedish East India Company named Gothenburg was built at the Viken shipyard by Master Builder Jean Fredr. Roempke, but Hugo Hammar indicates the Old Shipyard instead.

Voyages during the fourth charter:

February 2, 1788 - May 13, 1790 To Canton, in convoy together with Prince Gustaf under Captain Pehr Tranchell. Supercargos: Georg Johan Conradi, Joh. Leon. Törngren.

November 13, 1791 - June 12, 1793 To Bombay and Canton under Captain Carl Gustaf Treutiger. Supercargos: Peter Schenling, Joh. Leon. Törngren.

December 5, 1795 - (March 8, 1796) To Canton under Captain Carl Gustaf Treutiger. Supercargo: Sebastian Hägg.
