Endless knot

The "Mystic" or "Endless" knot is one of the eight auspicious Buddhists signs and appears frequently as a mark on Daoguang porcelain pieces usually in iron red enamel. It originated as the mystic sign on the breast of Vishnu. It is also known as one of the eight treasures or auspicious signs on the sole of Buddha's foot and sometimes represents the sacred intestines of Buddha and is a sign of longevity or endless love.
