GLOSSARY

Kendi Maling ("Thief's kendi")

A Kendi is primarily a container for water with a spout on the side but without a handle. While pouring, the pot is held around its neck. A "Kendi maling" is a special version that lacking a stopper is filled through a whole in the base where a hidden funnel keeps water from running out from the base when the Kendi Maling is in an up-right position.
